Why vintage?  It's simple, the hunt and the capture.

Rummaging through dress-after-dress-after-jacket in search of something, but you're not entirely sure what that ‘something’ is.  Hunting for five minutes or five hours, never knowing what you are going to find. As soon as you find that ‘something’, you know that it’s the one. The one you will grow old with, create memories with and make little vintage babies with... Sorry, got carried away for a moment. Point being, the perfect vintage piece for you can be rare, hard to find but ever so worth the hunt.

The Modern Bride

Lots of brides come to us with a theme that they have envisioned for years leading to this date. From one bride’s simple words ‘Secret Garden’ we created a range of jewellery and headpieces for her fairytale day. A cream mesh material draped atop a strong, comfortable comb ornamented by Swarovski crystal studs interweaving between a rustic golden leaf and cream feathered bird.

Bringing a dream to life, and helping brides realise their definition and embodiment of beauty, is what inspires Frou Frou’s Bridal collection.

It's a Wrap!

July was filled with complete and utter chaos here at Frou Frou! We road tripped high and low over the East Coast to bring you our favourite Frou Frou pieces!

With a stall in Parramatta, Brisbane, Melbourne and our boutique in Pyrmont, it was a month of pure craziness and we loved every minute of it! It is only now, a week into August that we are able to stop and reflect on the fabulous month that was July and give you a little insight to what we get up to here at Frou Frou.

Some of us were lucky enough to enjoy the calm before storm, carving up the slopes in Perisher Blue and New Zealand. 

 

 While others were set straight to work, setting up our stall at 100 Squared Parramatta Westfield.

 

The Bronte to Bondi walk provided a few hours of relaxation.

 But it wasn't long before we pack up the car and were off to Brisbane for the Love Vintage Show.

On our days off we could be found wandering around The Biennale Exhibition at Cockatoo Island.

We enjoyed a long awaited visit and snuggle from Miss Lily who kept us company on the long journeys.

The Pyrmont Boutique was a buzz of excitment with the introduction of our Frou Frou Baby Collection. Way too cute! 

The purchase of a juicer meant fresh juice cocktails were our new drink of choice, healthy and delicious!

 A lovely weekend was had at the Life Instyle Exhibition in Melbourne showcasing all our gorgeous new handbags.

Back in Sydney, the view of the ANZAC Bridge and the sounds of Tom & Alex from Triple J made the early morning drive a little more bearable.

The 5.30pm sunset was ready to greet us each afternoon for our drive back home.

 We were welcomed back to Melbourne for the second time this month for a weekend at The High Tea Party.

Before we knew it, July had come to an end and it was time to pack up and head back to base in 

Pyrmont.

Neons - Hate Them or Love Them.

Lets just say it wasn't love at first sight for me. But just like the chubby funny kid that eventually wins your heart, overtime neons have found a special place in my heart.

Ivory & Ice

Snow. Some love it, others hate it and me, I hate that I love it. 

I was fortunate enough to spend the winter of 2011 living in North Carolina and it was then that I discovered my complete and utter love for the snow. Waking up to snow covered scenery, having snow flakes fall around you as walk outside and of course skiing. I only wish Sydney's winter mirrored that of many American and Europeans cities, oh well, I guess the snow fields will make do!
